Who is Tyler Durden?
Either one of them is the manifestation of his conscience. He himself doesn't know who is the real self, but introspects with the other to understand himself.
A manipulator who doesn't realize that who he manipulates is himself.
He is the reflection of the original or is he the original self? It is left open for interpretation. He is psychologically enlightened, but deprived of essentials to lead the so-called "Normal human existence". Being quintessentially dark, violent, unacceptable, he is meaningful and metaphysical. The ones who rightfully deserve to exist. He is not allowed to and can't exist. Still, exists by his rules. Moreover, his rules of existence can't be told nor can it be questioned.
