John Patrick Mason | A Recall

"I was trained by the best. British intelligence. But in retrospect I would rather have been a poet. Or a farmer."

His national identity was disowned. He was a British secret service, who was sent to steal the most intimate secrets of America, including the assassination of JFK and alien landings. He was caught, but the mission succeeded. After he managed to escape a castle turned prison, where escape only meant death, he was caught again, but kept alive, never tried in court, and his existence was erased for three decades. He is now required to infiltrate the museum turned prison to rescue hostages. He does it seamlessly.

Upon the release of "The Rock" in 1996, our father Thangapandian took us Pandians to Madurai Mappillai Vinayagar theatre that is where this film was exhibited and ran successfully for weeks together. The character John Patrick Mason portrayed by Sean Connery became one of the most important performances of him.
