First Human To Enter Space

60 years ago today, on April 12, 1961, something of paramount importance happened in the history of mankind - a human was sent into space. Russian cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin was sent into Earth's orbit on the spacecraft 'Vostok 1'. It marked the inception of human space exploration. Now, humans are working towards interstellar and intergalactic travel.
