Disruptor | Alejandro González Iñárritu | Anniversary

He comes from the margins of a central American country and went on to become one of the most sought after filmmakers in the industry that dominates the world. He could do it not because of his works representing the elite and their flamboyant lifestyle, but the emotions and minds of the marginalized, depressed, betrayed in multilayered, open to interpretation film-making. A recipient of four Oscars, he was born 57 years ago today, on 15th August, 1963. Birthday wishes auteur,  Alejandro González Iñárritu.

While it is a crime to rank the auteur's works, Babel (2006) remains his favorite film of mine as it is the first film of his, I watched in theatres (Six degrees, Satyam, Madras, Southern India) first day night show. It made a profound impact on my conscience and I couldn't come out of it for a significant period of time.

Authored by Balaji Thangapandian aka #BT - a spacefarer, who is also curious about film-making, connectivity technologies and military history.
