I Went To Sun! Not Science Fiction

I went to Sun! Not Science Fiction

On August 12, 2018, I went to Sun.
My name went to the only star of our solar system. Thank you very much indeed #NASA and the "Parker Solar Probe" for taking mine and many like me. It means that I will be orbiting the sun forever. Now, I'm a spacefarer for real.

Official certificate from NASA confirming my participation in the "A Mission To Touch the Sun".

Sun's temperature is roughly about 10,000 degree fahernheit. We didn't have an object made yet to access it. But not anymore, the solar probe mission, called, "Parker Solar Probe" is all set to touchdown the atmosphere of sun, 'Corona', which is learnt to be hotter than Sun itself. The mission is named after a living astrophysicist, "Eugene Parker", for his revolutionary theories on Solar Winds - high speed particles emitted from Sun, that affect not only the composition of atmosphere of it's planets, but sometimes disrupt electromechanical equipments and cause biological problems as well.

The spacecraft was set launched on 12th August 2018. Humans are about to embark on journey which was never possible, but it's going to happen through painstaking efforts of astronomers, physicists and scientists, especially NASA. Godspeed!

The probe apart from its scientific equipments, carries a memory card, with the names of the civilians to be sent to the star of our solar system, the sun. The readers of this post or anyone could have registered within the stipulated time by accessing the link in the comments section.

Let us briefly understand the Parker Solar Probe Mission:

-> Sun's temperature is roughly about 10,000 degree Fahrenheit. We didn't have an object made yet to access it. But not anymore, the solar probe mission, called, '#ParkerSolarProbe' is all set to touch-down the atmosphere of the sun, '#Corona', which is learnt to be hotter than the Sun itself.

-> This is the the very first time a human made object will fly directly into the Sun's atmosphere, 'Corona', which is 3 million degrees hotter than Earth's temperature.

-> Sun is about 97 million miles from Earth. Parker Solar probe will be 3.7 million miles closer to the Sun, which is very close in terms of the sheer scales of the astronomical distances.

-> The probe is actually a tiny spacecraft, yet highly intelligent and efficient. Thanks to miniaturization technologies, a spacecraft needed to be multiple storeys in size for a mission of this kind, Parker Solar Probe is just 3 meters tall, size of a car.

-> Even though, the probe is small, it will be launched in an extremely powerful rocket '#DeltaIV' as the probe is required to achieve speeds of 118 miles per second so as to defy the influence of Earth's gravity and any other planetary objects in its trajectory towards Sun. Of course, gravity assists of Jupiter and Venus will be used to accomplish its reach. (Please refer to my journal on gravity assists, which was published under the album space exploration if you choose to understand what is gravity assist?)

-> The mission is named after a living astrophysicist, Eugene Parker, for his revolutionary theories on Solar Winds - High speed particle emitted from the Sun, that affect not only the composition of the atmosphere of its planets, but sometimes disrupts electromechanical equipments and causes biological problems.

Thanks to NASA and the crew behind the mission, which was launched on 12th August 2018.
