Hubble Space Telescope

I see it as human eye of the universe. 30 years ago today, on April 24, 1990, Hubble Space Telescope was launched. It is named after astronomer Edwin Hubble for one of his most important discoveries ever - expansion of the universe. Hubble, orbits at the velocity of approximately 8 km/s, 340 miles above Earth. It has made 1 million observations so far, including the collision of asteroids and stars forming galaxies, some date back to the origin of the universe. Happy birthday, #HubbleSpaceTelescope. Its successor is James Webb Space Telescope.
