49 years ago today, the invincible was shaken. While his untimely departure is still shrouded in mysteries, he prevails in the minds of his disciples through his deeds. He was 32.
Bruce Lee was synonymous with martial arts and, more importantly, purposeful existence.
While his death remains shrouded in mystery, his life isn't. From humble beginnings, he became synonymous with martial arts. He gave birth to a new style of combat sports. With only a handful of feature films, he was well known by people of all walks of life across the world. Remembering the legend, master Bruce Lee on his 48th death anniversary (November 27, 1940 - July 20, 1973). While he is biologically dead, he emotionally prevails among his followers.
Bruce Lee was an epitome of endurance and strength. Part of the reason was he relied on using his own body equivalent to weight for exercising. The muscles that you build using body weight exercise or calisthenics remain for a longer period of time. Bruce Lee's forearm muscles were an exemplification. Therefore, go to the open field and run; hit walls with your bare hands, do push ups on the ground, use a tree to do pull ups. Instead of relying on an air conditioned gym, which is a luxury, do trust your own body as a machine. I do as my master Bruce Lee did.
Only if we believe we are weak, and there is always someone stronger than us, will we be able to at least defend. Remember, winning is a coincidence.
