I've always been fascinated by the properties used by the characters I admire the most. Even though, I'm not a materialistic, the reason why I'm attracted to their properties is because I re-enact them in my reality, and when I also use the properties they use, they only augment my re-enactment. Therefore, I try and save money so as to acquire them.
In this context, one of the characters i admire the most is "#JackTraven"; "#Speed" (1994) played by Keanu Reeves. He wears a 1987 model #Casio G-Shock DW-5600C-1V. In many sequences the watch was given prominence because time played a pivotal role in the film. Since this particular model of G-Shock was discontinued, I bought a vintage model "F-91W" closest to the one worn by Keanu Reeves. Earlier, I also bought Casio G-Shock 441, which is closest to the one worn by Arnold Schwarzenegger in "Commando" and "Predator".
My fascination with Casio computers began in the late 80s because of somone who sat beside me, and was proud of wearing a Casio smart watch and drinking Coco Cola. Thanks to him. I did not envy. Instead, became obsessed with Kashio brothers' Casio products and became a collector.
There is a parallel story. When I was in the second standard of elementary education at Seventh Day Adventist Matriculation Higher Secondary School (SDA), EllisNagar, Madurai. The person sitting next to me named Alaric Riaman brought objects that were completely alien to me. He is a Christian. Incidentally, most of the Christians and Muslims then had friends or relatives in a foriegn nation. Therefore, they mostly used imported products from essentials to lifestyle products.
Alaric Riaman wore a Casio watch (F-91W) and drank Cocoa Cola during recess. Remember, it was only in 1992 or 1993, the then prime minister Narashima Rao liberalised Indian economy by increasing foriegn direct investment. Before, people like Alaric Riaman thanks to their friends or then they exclusively used foriegn made products. They positioned themselves privileged. However, after the economy was opened up, we also started receiveing products we once aspired to possess. It doesn't necessarily mean that only foriegn made products are superior. Incidentally an aspirational value is built around it. Thanks to the marketers.

The unique strengths of four people, united as one
Casio was founded by the four Kashio brothers: Tadao, Toshio, Kazuo, and Yukio.
Led by the second eldest, Toshio, the four brothers developed the 14-A, the world’s first compact all-electric calculator, and established Casio Computer Co., Ltd. in 1957. Each brother brought his unique specialty and strength: Tadao in finance, Toshio in development, Kazuo in sales, and Yukio in production. Taking on a specific role and working closely to complement each other, the brothers grew the new company together.
Origin of the company emblem
The company emblem is a design that encompasses and highlights the Casio trademark with a circle of four Ks, the initial letter in Kashio. The emblem symbolizes the strong ties among the four Kashio brothers that founded and developed their calculator business. Toshio Kashio, inventor of the Casio calculator, designed the emblem himself to embody their approach to the business.
